Meet Monica: Kaiut Yoga Thursdays 19.45-20.45 #kaiutyoga Yoga is a biomechanical yoga practice developed by Francisco Kaiut in Brazil. The exercises focus primarily on being present in the moment in order to bring more flexibility to the joints. The stiffness of the joints, which is often not even consciously perceived, can have a negative impact on the entire movement sequence and the overall body awareness. In today’s world, this type of yoga also fulfills another important task: it not only acts as a healing impulse in the broadest sense, but also helps to create a new self-awareness and has an additional calming and nourishing effect on our nervous system. Lost mobility can be restored. We become more present in ourselves and our bodies. This modern approach to yoga helps us to achieve a better quality of life. The practice aims to experience physical and mental well-being as well as good mobility and relaxation. A greater presence in the body opens the way for an opening in the whole being. We learn how to deal better with mental and emotional pressure. Old behavioral patterns are deactivated. New, creative paths open up. We experience how brilliant we are when we are less in our own way. This automatically leads to deeper confidence and a more stable sense of self-worth. Kaiut Yoga is for people of all ages. The practice usually takes place on the floor at a slow pace and is suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners. . I was born in Vicenza, Italy, and moved to Ireland shortly after finishing school, where I lived in Dublin for almost four years. After returning to Italy, I eventually settled in Basel, Switzerland, where I have been living for the past 15 years. In 2019, I completed a 200-hour Kaiut Yoga teacher training in Amsterdam. This transformative practice resonated with me immediately, as it allowed me to release physical tension, improve joint flexibility, and cultivate a profound sense of satisfaction and well-being. Margherita Parri @margheritaparri Thursdays Vinyasa 18.15-19.30 🙏 After many years practicing Yoga Margherita completed the 250-Hour Vinyasa Krama Teacher Training in April 2022. In June 2024 she had the opportunity to accomplish the Aerial Yoga Teacher Training that brought new inspiring elements to her Vinyasa Practice. Margherita studied Design and Architecture and she feels a strong connection between the design process of a Yoga class and the creative, artistic world she is surrounded by in her daily life. She is very grateful to have the opportunity to share Yoga with her students and create a harmonious connection between the body, the inner Self and the outer world. Margherita’s classes are a combination of energetic and powerful flows, flexibility and strength. Her Vinyasa Yoga class is open to anyone who wants to experiment with dynamic movement and connect with their breath and centre.
